Axicef-CV

Technical Description Axicef-CV utilizes a dual-action mechanism to overcome bacterial defenses. The Cefuroxime (500mg) component is a bactericidal agent that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), halting the cross-linking of peptidoglycan chains, which results in the osmotic rupture and death of the bacterial cell.

The addition of Clavulanic Acid (125mg) serves as a "Suicide Inhibitor." Many resistant bacteria produce enzymes called Beta-Lactamases that "chew up" the antibiotic before it can work.
