Levosalbutamol (0.25mg) is the active R-isomer of Salbutamol. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the bronchial tubes. Because it lacks the S-isomer (which can cause side effects), it is much gentler on an infant’s heart and nervous system while effectively stopping wheezing.
