Azithromycin (200mg) works by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria. This stops the bacteria from producing the essential proteins they need to grow and multiply, leading to their eventual death.
Stazar is highly "lipophilic," meaning it moves quickly out of the blood and into the infected tissues (like the lungs, tonsils, and sinuses). It is even carried directly to the site of infection by white blood cells (phagocytes), acting like a "smart bomb."
