Cefixime (50mg) is a potent third-generation antibiotic that kills bacteria by disrupting their cell wall. However, some bacteria produce "beta-lactamase" enzymes to destroy it. Potassium Clavulanate (31.25mg) permanently deactivates these enzymes, allowing Cefixime to work at 100% efficiency.
